The project of Jazz Johnston and friends, Jeane is a Naarm-based indie-pop rock band blending fuzzy guitars, infectious hooks and emotionally charged songwriting. Led by Johnston’s magnetic vocals and self-produced sound, Jeane balances grit and vulnerability with sharp pop sensibilities, creating songs that are both cathartic and instantly memorable.
Since emerging onto the Australian music scene, Jeane has received support from national and community radio triple j, alongside Spotify editorial playlists including New Music Friday AU & NZ, Fresh Finds and Indie Arrivals. Their debut EP Sicko surpassed 100,000 streams in its first month, while breakout single Emotional Baby became the theme song for SBS’s Love Without Limits podcast.
On stage, Jeane have built a reputation for captivating live performances, appearing at Brunswick Music Festival, Across The Punt and Warrandyte Festival, and supporting artists including Full Flower Moon Band, WILSN and The Slingers.
